If the device is following Zigbee standards it is possible it will work with other gateway solutions, it is just not confirmed as working yet!
To enable the S1 and S2 buttons you have to explicitly listen to the specified broadcast group.
To find the group, use WebLog 4 and the group id should be displayed when you press S1/S2 19:18:08.923 ZIG: Sniffing group 0xFF01
To listen to the topic, use eg. ZbListen 0xFF01
